I hope you had a great weekend?
The weather was back, so on Sunday Paul and I made the most of it and went into Highbury fields and shot some off the cuff fitness videos, hard fat burning circuits that anyone can do at any time. Actually, the park was a bit overcrowded and people would have been staring so we found a basketball court that wasn’t being used and got into it.
They are pretty cool and show that you don’t always need a gym or equipment to have a great workout. Will send those videos once they have been edited and our photo shop team has spent hours on them making us look amazing, but in the meantime this is what we did in terms of the workout:
1. 20 press ups
2. 20 jumping squats
3. 40 yard shuttle sprints
2 min rest then repeat 6 – 10 times depending on your level of fitness.
Why did we choose these exercises? Good question. The most effective way to burn body fat is by using as many muscle groups at once. The press up hits the chest, shoulders, triceps, upper back and the whole core. The jumping squats hits the whole lower body and both massively raise the heart rate. The sprints use the whole body and take your heart rate through the roof. With each circuit only lasting between 50-75 secs, the demand placed on the bodies muscular and respiratory system is extremely taxing. Just as the body starts to recover, another circuit is performed forcing the body into burning fat and keeping the metabolic rate high for the next 48 hours. The circuit when performed at a high intensity is very tough, too tough to get bored and over in under 20 minutes.
Results? High metabolism for the next 48 hours which means maximum fat burning, muscle retention, toning, shaping, conditioning and just about anything else you need 🙂 and guess what? Not a bike, stepper or treadmill in sight. For those that are new to my tips, you will soon learn that I am not a fan of using pieces of cardio equipment for fat loss. Why not? Because the don’t work! Simple.
Oh, and we got a good tan also so not too shabby all round right?
After the workout we went home and cooked a big rump steak and a large green salad with lots of organic olive oil. Lunch of champions right there. Not a carbohydrate in sight 🙂
Any questions or advice, fire away. I have been getting anywhere between 15-20 responses to some of the tips and I apologise if it takes me a while to get back to you all and I know some I haven’t got back to. I am holding small nutritional seminars with about 4-6 people at a time in the near future so if anyone has any interest in this let me know. I will be able to personally answer any questions you have, look at your diet and training, and offer my advice on virtually a one to one basis which will be great.
That’s all for now folks, have a great week ahead.
Train hard and eat smart 🙂
